  • Big cities have many amenities and attractions, but it doesn't compare to the calm of the countryside. This man grew tired of living in the big city and returned to his hometown, where he now uses all his knowledge and resourcefulness to dig a house in the mountains. Could you build something like this? Leave your answer in the comments

We hope you enjoy this review of Amazing Apartment!

A thousand years later, this house in the bedrock haunts archaeologists. The archaeologists can't understand why there was 1000 year old furniture in the bedrock and why people lived there.

@frostyguns55 "College" in the USA is a BUSINESS. It has very little to do with specialization, efficiency or placing a person in a particular job. It's all about money... as nearly everything is for humans since the dawn of civilization. I have a degree in accountancy.... but I don't work as a CPA, Financial advisor, Accountant or anything in the field. I run a small self started, self run business buying goods, vehicles, real estate, all for resale LOL. Never thought I'd be doing this, but it's been amazing so far and really works for me.

Is very impressive that he managed to do this all by himself, what's even more impressive is that people thousands of years ago used to sculpt giant monuments and palaces inside of rocky mountains without any modern tools.

    • BlankPaper
      BlankPaper 18 saatler önce

You mean like hammers, chisels, fire, water and stone-grinding surfaces... Tools invented over 30,000 to 100,000 years ago, used in the modern age... The hammer being as old as 3,300,000 years. People don't often look at a solid chunk of rock and say, "let me carve this out to look like a cave". Smart people find caves and shape them to look like homes. As soft as that stone was, and as cracked as it was, it will not spend long as a living-space. Just as that computer will not last long against that open window which only has a screen to protect it from the "nightly dew" and rain-storms. Don't get me started on the shelves, the floating wall in the bathroom, the unsupported porch-step, the cement roof supported by wooden beams, or the thousands of structure cracks he made in the ceiling, without adding tension supports to stop future cave-ins.

Yes, I could have when I was his age. A bit too old now . I still have all the tools he used. He did have several sizes of core bits which are not cheap. He could have saved time and effort with a diamond chainsaw, which is not cheap to use but could have sped things up. I commend his skill, ability, and knowledge. Good thing he was not in granite, basalt, or too hard of stone. May he have a comfortable life in his home and his wife or significant other enjoy as well. I enjoyed watching someone of such skill.
    Thanks for sharing.

Looking at the amount of time he have spent and the number of modern tools he have used, I can't imagine how the inhabitants of Petra have achieved what they have.

@Darkstar I'm going to make the obvious assumption that there was no such concept as "Overtime" during that time period. Gonna go out on a limb and say no unions either.

@Ggl Mail we also learn and contribute to modern science from maths, email, usb, xrays, raman effect, but most of our ancient science lost due to excessive destruction by post Abrahamic era invasions.
We call knowledge to our godly text not commandments and there are no orders and suggestions there but only knowledge. It's always available equally through out the universe, that too not in form of books.
We used to make zink back 4500years back from now. In present day India. Alloys still standing unrusted in various places of Indian subcontinent that date back to 2300yeras.

Kailash temple was built out of monolith hardest rock basalt with all intricacies from top to bottom back 3000years (or more) ago.

Chariots and swords of high quality date back to 4500years.
We call the universe to be round. Earth to be round, unlike the flat earth concept by stupid religious books. Since language👄💬 came into existence.

      Nobody can judge everything

Still India has lowest per capita carbon footprint and we are modernizing ethically. So called scientific Nations spreading religious unrest through out developing nations.
In Agora movie shown that existing science was there but Abrahamic fools destroyed it in name of dummies.

Our language is scientific, food is scientific, family structure is scientific, society is science loving. But unfortunately haleluya and olaaaa uber killing all the remains imposing their unscientific faiths.

@Darkstar dont bother educating these people bro. these extremist environmentalist freakers claimed there are more advanced tech than the current time in the past. LOL. By advanced technologies maybe they mean levers and drop hammers? Thats why pyramids and similar stone houses are all over the place in the world in that period because they have almost the same 'advanced tech more than current time' at their disposal. bunch of tin foil hatter freaks.

@Water Garden Decore Just ignore your detractors, who think they know how some of the massive work that was done, and don't. There is abundant evidence of advanced technology used in stonework thousands of years ago, in Peru, Bolivia, Egypt and many other countries. People don't bother to educate themselves about that, and assume that precision cutting of stones like granite and basalt, work that would be difficult to duplicate today, was done with copper chisels.
